Support group is making all the right connections

-

JTHIS week, we are looking at the work of The WaterWell Foundation, which is a newly incorporated not for profit, community interest company.

Their focus is on promoting social inclusion and provide support to anyone struggling with their mental health and well-being, interaction to reduce loneliness and connecting like-minded people together to remove the stigma around mental health.

They also collaborate with other Rossendale groups to accommodate the demand.

They all acknowledge that life is full of highs and lows, and when experiencing the lows we need to learn to cope with them. It is important to treat your mental health as you would your physical well-being.

It’s not always where you would like it to be, but with the right help, and giving yourself time and support in getting over the hurdle, it will get better.

Based in the heart of Rossendale, the WaterWell Foundation in Water is connecting with more and more organisations, building strength throughout the Rossendale community.

This includes the promotion and facilitating of social activities that benefit people of all ages with physical or mental health issues in Rossendale.

Typical activities currently include walking/hiking, cycling, gardening, yoga classes, art, music, photography, sport of all kinds, creative groups or even just getting together with others for a coffee and a chat.

The WaterWell Foundation is constantly looking to connect with new groups in the Valley that could extend their activities offer. As a not for profit organisation funding is always an issue, so if you are a group or an individual who could help raise funds, would like to donate or would like to find out more about what activities and support is available, you can check out the WaterWell Foundation website at www.waterwellfoundation.co.uk or email info@waterwellfoundation.co.uk.
