MR Anthony Charles Lawrey, of Daisy Hill, Rawtenstal­l (Tony), passed away on Wednesday, May 26, in Royal Blackburn Hospital, aged 61.

He was a former footwear operative at Lambert Howarth, Whitewell Bottom and security guard at Interflo Haslingden.

He was a keen music and sport enthusiast for many years, particular­ly of Burnley FC and Rawtenstal­l CC.

He leaves brother Chris, sister-in-law Elizabeth, nephew Nick, niece Rachel and family, and cousins around the valley.

A service at St James the Less Roman Catholic Church, Rawtenstal­l will be held on Wednesday, June 9 at 11am, followed by interment at Rawtenstal­l Cemetery.

ANN BLOMLEY

ANN Blomley passed away peacefully at Royal Blackburn Hospital on Monday, May 24, aged 82.

Beloved wife of the late Peter Blomley, loving mum to sons Craig and Andrew, Craig’s partner Mervin and daughter-inlaw Lynne. Much loved grandma to grandsons James and Adam, she also leaves sisters Jean and Margaret, brother Alan and cousin Barbara.

A housewife all her life, Ann enjoyed watching soaps on TV and reading.

A short prayers service will be held in the chapel at Johnson, Durning and Woods Chapel of Rest on Wednesday, June 9, followed by committal at Accrington Crematoriu­m, under current restrictio­ns.
