CAMPAIGN for upgrades to Marl Pits running track (June 18):
Gary Cunliffe: Proof yet again of chronic underinvestment on sports facilities by the council, they have been looking at renewing the track since the 90s when thousands where spent on consultants to draw up a new plan, and then placed in the bin.
Michael Aspden: A couple of months ago I attempted to do a few laps when it was raining. I’d have been better off paddleboarding on it! Hope it gets the investment as there’s so much potential at Marl Pits
