United get nine friendlies lined up

RAMSBOTTOM United has announced nine pre-season friendlies, starting in exactly one months time as we prepare for the

2022/23 campaign in the Northern Premier League Division One West.

And there are two exciting home games to whet the appetite before the big league kick-off on Saturday 13th August.

The Rams have a busy start with three games in six days. We visit Adie Moran Park on Saturday 9th July to play old friends Prestwich Heys (1pm start) before an evening visit to

Irlam’s Silver Street ground follows on the Tuesday night and then up to Nelson on the Thursday.

Newly promoted to the North West Counties Premier Division, Bury AFC visit the Harry Williams Riverside Stadium on Saturday 16th July at 3pm – with admission being £5 for adults and £3 concession­s for this game.

The Rams hit the road again on Tuesday 19th July with a game in the Derbyshire Dales at old NWCFL foes New Mills before travelling to Ashton Town on the Saturday following.

The programme intensifie­s with a couple of games against higher league opposition as we host Matlock Town on Tuesday 26th June before heading the short trip to Radcliffe the following Tuesday night.

The pre-season roadshow concludes with a short hop to Tottington United on Tuesday 9th August (6.45pm kick-off).

It is an exciting programme of games to get the Rams in top shape and form before we head into a much anticipate­d league season.
