THIS week, we are looking at the Bacup Classic Car Show.

In 2019, the Bacup Now Community Group organised a very successful Classic Car & Bike Show in Bacup Town centre with around 50 vehicles on show.

Feedback from the owners confirmed that the approach of making the show very informal, providing an opportunity for owners and visitors to chat over a brew and show off the vehicles that owners are so proud of seems to be the preferred format.

Bacup Now are organising its second show but concentrating on Classic Cars.

The Show will be on Saturday, August 13, and they want to make it even better.

The show will again be staged on Irwell Terrace and the adjacent car park, with other sites available if needed.

They are currently appealing to all Classic Car owners to come along and show their Classic vehicles at the show. The vehicles that have registered with us so far include a 1986 Ford Capri Mk 3, an 1955 Austin A30, a 1998 Ferrari F355 Belinetta/1971 Triumph TR6, a 1953 Ford Popular 103E, a Caterham 7, a

1983 Ford Capri 2.0S, a 1966 Vanden Plas Princess, a 1965 Wolseley 16/60 and a 1997 BMW Z3, a 1958 Ford Popular 103E, a 1979 MGB Convertible a 1980 Triumph TR7 V8 and a Selection of Minis.

There is no fee and there will be other attractions on the day. So If you would like to include your pride and joy in the show, please get in touch and contact Barry at bacupnow@hotmail. com and he will send out a registration form.
