BLOCKING BINS ARE A HAZARD

-

I HAVE no problem with The Scribbler’s comments on the in collection service (‘Don’t knock it – service has bin second to none’, July 1).

Where I do take issue is on the ‘after service’ when bins are left on the road or blocking pavements.

H&S would shudder at the potential trip hazards to blind/ partially sighted people and parents with pushchairs having to step out into the road to avoid the empties. ANDREW PETTIGREW Grane Road

Wayne Anthony O’Brien: Be lucky if people can afford to get to work with rising cost of petrol and diesel

It’s pretty basic knowledge that if no-one has money to spend, the economy will shrink.

It’s all about massive quick profits for the Tories.

Always has been.

Don’t know how folk expect anything different.
