Discussing the partnership, Bacup Borough manager
Brent Peters said: “It’s a massive privilege to be associated and working in partnership with such a reputable company as B&M. We are delighted and honoured that they believe in what we are striving to achieve at the football club, and that is to continue to be a big part of the community through the borough and beyond.”
B&M is a fastgrowing discount retailer that was formed in 1978. From its first store in Blackpool, Lancashire, B&M now operates more than 700 high street and out of town stores across the UK, with over 375,000 staff employees. B&M believes in selling top branded products at sensational prices and offer customers a broad range of FMCG brands and non-grocery products. The retail outlet also attracts over 54 million happy customers through their doors a week.
Shelley Robinson from B&M said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be partnering with Bacup Borough FC, a club at the heart of the local community in Bacup. We’re rooting for the teams and wishing them all the success ahead of the new season starting and hope they get to bring some silverware home at the end of the season.”
The partnership between the two will certainly enrich those teams that have the pleasure to ride in the coach to away fixtures and tournaments. It is also expected that the club will soon be setting up a Women’s team with the addition of football in the community already up and running through the borough.
