THE BEST all-round 15s can fi eld kicks and make their cover tackles, but what makes them exciting is that they also have an array of silky running skills.

Players like Stuart Hogg, Liam Williams and Ben Smith can run an outside arc, hit an angle at pace or drift wide in anticipati­on of a pass. These guys work hard at being a snake-hipped full-back, and you can try to emulate them by doing our gym drills designed to limber up your running (left) – all lovingly compiled by our pals at Performanc­e Pro Gym in London.

They have also dashed down a clever fi tness challenge (below) that aims to time you at your top speed – but only after you’ve shifted your point of attack just like any smart full-back.
