Stuart Hooper's LINEOUT DUMMY

-

a lineout drive… The ex-lock shows how to score off What’s the objective?

To make the opposition think you space to run are going for a forward drive, but to create the drive. or pass into when they commit to stopping

How it works

Set a five-man lineout, with a ball-playing and set up the forward at half-back. Throw to the back when maul. The forward at half-back then recognises and breaks out, the last defender has joined the maul feeding the ball to his 9 or blindside wing.

Key points

Set the drive up towards the back so the last defenders enter quicker. Make the set-up look exactly the same as your conventional drive.
