DISCUSSION POINTS

-

There were some significant departures last season, with Isa Nacewa hanging up his boots for a second time and Joey Carbery heading to Munster amongst others, but there has been only one new arrival in the shape of former Australia threequarter Joe Tomane. It just goes to show how strong the Leinster squad is.

Even without Jamie Heaslip and Jordi Murphy, they can boast the likes of Sean O’Brien, Jack Conan,

Josh van der Flier, Scott Fardy, Rhys Ruddock and Dan Leavy in the back row. And while Carbery has headed south in search of more game time at No 10, Johnny Sexton still has an impressive understudy in Ross Byrne.

Exciting back Jordan Larmour has earned a senior contract and will be looking for decent ball from Ireland team-mates Robbie Henshaw and Garry Ringrose.

The one concern, as always for Leinster, is being able to pick up results during international windows when so many of their squad are away on Ireland duty.
