Home sweet home
For the first time in our 90-year history, Bakewell Mannerians RUFC has its own ground. We are a small club in the Peak District and run teams from U7 to senior level. Since its birth in 1928, the club has never had its own pitch, training facilities or clubhouse.
Our player numbers have been falling in recent years due to a lack of home fixtures (caused by waterlogged/unplayable pitches) and the attraction of clubs further afield with their own facilities. Being able to offer facilities of our own was essential for the club to initially survive and hopefully prosper in the future.
