FIRE BOMB HORROR: Car attacked on driveway
Victim is ‘emotionally and financially crushed’
A WOMAN has told of her shock after her car was ‘fire-bombed’ in Hayes.
The 47-year-old believes she was targeted deliberately after CCTV footage showed people in the area at the time on Tuesday September 6.
London Fire Brigade (LFB) were called to the car fire, in Attlee Road, at 11.22pm. They said the cause of the blaze is currently being investigated.
The victim said a neighbour’s CCTV camera captured two people on a moped who may have been involved.
She added: “That’s my car. That’s my livelihood.
“I don’t even want to go outside to see the car. I’m so angry.
“They have crushed me emotionally and financially.”
She said she went to bed at around 11pm on Tuesday when 10 minutes later she looked out the window to see her car ablaze.
LFB were able to put the fire out by 11.48pm.
A fire brigade spokesman said: “We were called at 11.22pm. We sent one fire engine.
“The car would have been badly damaged. The cause is under investigation.”
The victim said CCTV footage shows one of the people on the moped ‘filling something up with petrol’.
She said: “I don’t think it’s anything to do with me. I wanted to put my story out there.
“The impact of what they’ve done has affected me.
“It’s wrong.”
