Student art set to go on display

-

ARTWORK by students from Uxbridge Art College is set to go on display at a west London hotel.

The Lancaster London hotel will be welcoming art enthusiasts from noon to 7pm on Tuesday September 27 to admire the work of the young creatives. The art exhibition, held in the hotel’s Nine Kings Foyer, will feature more than 40 pieces of artwork ranging from small A4 sets to large A0 pieces.

Catalogues and booklets will be distributed to guests, which will explain the story and method behind each work. All artwork will also be available for visitors to buy on the day.

Lancaster London will also be purchasing several new additions, adding to its range of art already hung around the building.

Lancaster London is making quite a name for itself as an art lover’s destination.

The hotel’s ARTea afternoon tea has been popular with budding artists and novice painters alike, with its edible canvasses and whimsical painter’s boxes. Delicate delights on offer include finger sandwiches, pastries and freshly baked scones, all of which are served on painting slates alongside jam and clotted cream concealed in 30ml paint tubes.

On the day, every attendee will get a chance to pick up a 20 per cent voucher for the hotel’s ARTea (valid for a limited time only).

The most impressive pieces of art will be chosen to feature in the ARTea as edible treats.
