He’s got some Side – Charlie hits a fistful

-

CHARLIE Side produced a fivestar performance as Sandgate under-8s won a goalfest with Westside Youth on Sunday.

Side hit five in an 8-5 win with Ollie Hunt scoring two and the other goal from Harry Ward.

Amazingly, The U9s beat Walton & Hersham Falcons by the same score. Chay Hudson was the catalyst with four with Stanley Callier, Christiano de Sousa, Jasiah Mathurin and Donnie Side also on target.

Shae Cooper hit four in the U12 Colts’ 5-3 win at Chertsey, Callum Nichol also on target.

A Dhillon Quashie hat-trick secured a 3-1 win over Claygate Royals Foleys and a share of the man of the match honour with Dean Cochrane.

An Ahmed Abdullah treble secured the U8 Colts a 4-3 win, debutant Jack Keary getting the other goal.

The most spectacular goal was surely Charlie Marshal’s volley from the halfway line in the U12s’ 4-2 win over Ewell Saxons. Patrick Doherty scored two and Amayn Goudari one with Harry McKechnie man of the match.

It was good weekend for both the club’s U10 sides. Kunmi Omijola’s double and a Sharman Bajwa penalty earned the U10s a 3-0 win over Rocks Lane and the U10 Colts beat Met Police by the same score thanks to strikes from Halil Plisi, Nabil Mezali and Chouaib Halfaoui.

There was penalty heartache for the U14s and U14 Colts as they bowed out of cup competitions.

Tinnaye Chirambaguhwa’s brace and a Jules Downing goal saw the Colts draw 3-3 with Twickenham Tigers to lose 5-4 on spot-kicks while the U14s lost 4-3 after a 1-1 draw with Wandgas.

The U13 Arrows lost 5-3 to Parkfield despite goals from Deron Lorainey, Archie Chapman and Jesse Nyarko and Malik ElGhaidaini’s brilliant strike from the halfway line proved a consolation for the U7s as they lost 4-1 against CS Rangers.
