WAITROSE FUNDRAISERS HELP FUND NEW VAN FOR MICHAEL SOBELL HOSPICE
IT’S a big thumbs up to Waitrose after its Community Matters scheme donation helped to fund the purchase of a new van for the Michael Sobell Hospice warehouse collections service.
The hospice has sent out a thank you to the entire team and customers of Waitrose in Northwood, Harrow Weald, Rickmansworth and Ruislip after nearly £2,000 was donated to the appeal.
Commenting on the funding, Lindsey Fealey, chief executive at MSHC said: “We’re absolutely delighted with our new van in celebration of our 40th anniversary year.
“On behalf of everyone involved with Michael Sobell Hospice and Michael Sobell Hospice Charity, we would like to say a very big thank you to Breda Fitzgerald, the Waitrose team, and all the customers who voted for the Hospice with their green token, as well as SMC Ford Cars in Uxbridge for your continued support.”
The Charity’s Harefield-based warehouse collection service, runs on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday each week, and is available for those larger donations too big to bag up and drop in to Michael Sobell Hospice Charity shops in Northwood, Eastcote and Ruislip on foot.
If you have items you would like to donate to the cause, simply give the team a call on 020 3826 2367 to arrange a free collection at a time convenient to you.
