REVENGE HOUSE IS PRETTY SWEET
If you’ve watched the early Noughties TV series Revenge, then you’ll know why it dominated US schedules for four seasons and won actress Madeleine Stowe a Golden Globe in 2012.
The gripping tale of a woman – played by Emily VanCamp – who moves into a rented beach house in the Hamptons next door to the family who were responsible for her father’s death, and who goes on to elaborately take revenge on them, was a huge hit.
Now the house that her character Emily Thorne rents at the beginning of the series is on the market.
It’s a stunning waterfront beach house with a 360-degree veranda and its own boat jetty.
The property’s interiors and some of the veranda were reconstructed on set by broadcaster ABC, although their real counterparts were utilised regularly in the plotline too.
6249 Pebble Shore Lane is in the New Brunswick city of Southport in North Carolina, a location famed for its stunning coastline and popular with TV and movie directors as a location.
The Revenge house has three bedrooms, four bathrooms, an outdoor swimming pool, with separate changing rooms, acres of decking and wooden floors throughout inside.
The property also has a rooftop sun-deck with spectacular views over the coastline, accessed via a lift.
It’s on the market with Landmark Sotheby’s International Realty (+1 910 269 1128) for £1.885 million.
