RABBITS are a popular choice for many families with an estimated 1.5 million rabbits kept as pets in the UK. It’s no surprise as rabbits are highly intelligent, inquisitive animals. Owning rabbits’ can be extremely rewarding.

You will need at hutch at least 6ft x 2ft with a run of no less than 6ft x 4ft. You will need to budget for £5 per week for a pair of rabbits (they are social creatures so you need at least two) to cover food and bedding, £35 per rabbit per year for vaccinations, £5 per rabbit per year for insurance and as they live between seven and 10 years it’s a huge commitment in both money and time.

Please, think carefully before buying or adopting a rabbit. Our rabbits are neutered, microchipped and vaccinated before they are rehomed and we will only let them go to homes that can provide everything they need.

Meet Tusks

Little Tusks is a three year old female looking for a new home after being found in the most horrific condition. She had obviously been left to her own devices for some time and was filthy from sitting in her own urine and faeces, her fur was tangled and matted and her front teeth were so overgrown that they were protruding out of her mouth.

Tusks has now had a dental and her incisors have been completely removed, and so to has the problem of them ever over growing again. Of course all her fur has been trimmed and groomed and all in all she is now in fine health, looking and feeling a lot better too.

Despite everything, Tusks remains the sweetest little girl. She is a happy rabbit who enjoys all the new found space and attention her foster home provides. She is getting used to regular grooming which new owners are going to need to continue being such a fluffy girl.

We are looking for a home for Tusks with a neutered male companion she can enjoy the rest of her life with.
