POLICE CALLED TO HAYES INCIDENT AS CAPITAL SUFFERS ANOTHER WEEKEND OF SHOCKING VIOLENCE

MULTIPLE stabbings, the murder of an elderly woman and a boy being thrown from the 10th floor of the Tate Modern has left the capital reeling.

Emergency services have worked tirelessly at the scenes of these horrendous incidents over the weekend.

Here is everything you need to know about events on London’s streets this weekend.

A boy has been stabbed following a fight in Hayes.

Police were called to Kingshill Avenue at around 7.29pm on Sunday to reports of a fight.

Paramedics also attended and at the scene they found a boy aged 16 with slash injuries to the shoulder.

The victim has been taken to hospital, where his condition is stable.

No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.

A teenager has been arrested after a young boy was thrown from the tenth floor of the Tate Modern.

Emergency services were called at around 2.20pm on Sunday to reports of a child thrown from the 10th floor viewing platform of the famous gallery.

The six year-old victim was found on a fifth floor roof. He was treated at the scene and taken to hospital by London’s Air Ambulance.

A 17-year-old male remained with members of the public until the police arrived when he was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

A murder investigat­ion has been launched following the death of an elderly woman in Tottenham.

Police were called by London Ambulance Service at around 10.45am on Sunday to the body of an 89-year-old woman found at an address in Waltheof Gardens.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Next of kin have been informed. A post-mortem examinatio­n and formal identifica­tion will be arranged in due course.

Officers believe one or more suspects gained entry to the woman’s house in Waltheof Gardens at some point between Saturday evening and Sunday morning.

A group of people have been injured in a fight near Borough in South London. Emergency services were called to the scene at Empire Square East, near Long Lane, shortly after 10am on Sunday.

One woman sustained injuries after reportedly falling from a height where there are blocks of flats. She was treated by paramedics and taken to hospital for treatment. A man was found near to the scene with a stab injury and was also rushed to hospital.

Two other males, who also had stab injuries, were detained near to the scene on suspicion of GBH. They were taken to hospital to treat their injuries.

A woman was taken to hospital to be treated for shock.

None of the injuries are believed to be life-threatenin­g.

A man was taken to hospital with an “arm injury” following an incident in Thornton Heath on Saturday.

Metropolit­an Police and the London Ambulance Service were called to the scene in Beulah Road, outside a Morley’s chicken shop, at 2.20pm.

Four police cars and two ambulances were in attendance. Police were interviewi­ng eye witnesses.

An air ambulance was also seen circling low over the area.

No arrests have yet been made and enquiries are ongoing.

A man was rushed to hospital after being attacked with a machete at Enfield Town station in the early hours of Sunday morning.

He suffered head and arm injuries which were not considered to be life threatenin­g or life changing.

Two men, both 20 years old, were arrested following a search of the area and remain in police custody.

A spokespers­on for British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to the area at 3.11am this morning.”

A young man has suffered slash wounds to his face and head in Chingford.

The victim, a 21-year-old, was reportedly chased by a man armed with a knife. Police were called to Station Road shortly after 2.16am on Sunday.

The victim was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital. His condition has been assessed as not life-threatenin­g.

No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.

A man was rushed to hospital with potentiall­y life-changing injuries following a suspected acid attack in Ilford.

The incident occurred in Marks Gate on Friday.

Officers were called by the London Ambulance Service to Kingston Close shortly after 9pm following reports a man had been attacked with a noxious substance.

At the scene they found a man in his 20s suffering from injuries to his arm and face.

He was rushed to an East London hospital for treatment of injuries that are consistent with a corrosive substance attack. His condition is not life-threatenin­g.

Four men were stabbed in a park which hosted a music festival at the weekend.

Eastern Electrics, an undergroun­d house and techno festival, took place in Morden Park.

During the Saturday afternoon and evening of the festival, the stabbings took place in the park.

The first victim, a 24-year-old, was attacked just after 4pm and taken to hospital.

Just before 6.45pm another man, aged 27, was stabbed before being rushed to A&E.

Paramedics had to then take a third man, in his 20s, to hospital after he was found with stab wounds at 9.38pm.

None of these three men suffered life-threatenin­g or lifechangi­ng injuries.

The fourth victim, a man in his 40s, was then found injured just before 10pm.

Officers were called to Hertford Road, Edmonton, at around 1.36pm on Sunday, August 4.

A man in his 20s has been rushed to hospital after he reported being approached by a group of males who demanded he hand over his bike.

The victim refused, and was then stabbed. His injuries have been assessed as non life-threatenin­g. Six men have been arrested.

A number of pedestrian­s were injured after a car mounted a pavement in Charing Cross.

The incident occurred at around 11.10pm on Saturday night.

Three people were injured as the car collided into them outside Charing Cross Station between the Strand and Villiers Street.

The incident was not terrorist related. None of the injuries were life threatenin­g. Two men were arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
