‘Well-liked, ambitious, innocent’ – murdered

ASPIRING PHOTOGRAPHER TASHAN DANIEL WAS STABBED IN ‘UNPROVOKED ATTACK’

-

THE young man stabbed to death at Hillingdon station has been described by friends as a “ambitious and wellliked” aspiring photographer.

Tashan Daniel was brutally attacked by two men on the platform at the West London station at 4pm on Tuesday (September 24).

The 20-year-old, who was headed to Emirates Stadium to watch Arsenal play Nottingham Forest, was with a friend when the attackers set upon them in an “unprovoked attack”.

One of the suspects pulled out a knife and stabbed Tashan, who died in a Tube carriage at around 4pm, despite efforts from members of the public and paramedics.

MyLondon has been told Tashan lived in the Hillingdon area and went to Bishopshalt School, in Uxbridge.

Friends have spoken about him being an aspiring photographer who had a “bright future ahead of him”.

Speaking exclusively to MyLondon, one friend said: “He was an ambitious, well-liked man who was always willing to help and support others. Whether that’s in his photography career or on a day-to-day basis, he had a bright future ahead of him for sure.

“[I’m] in shock - more importantly distraught - knowing that an innocent life has been taken away way before his years.”

Another friend, who studied with Tashan at Bishopshalt School sixth form, said: “I didn’t know Tashan personally [but] we went to the same sixth form and I’ve just been following his work for a while.

“He was so talented - like seriously talented. He was a photographer and his work was raw and creative and it shouldn’t be a waste.”

“I still can’t believe it actually,” the friend added.

“He was a harmless and innocent individual so what happened to him can’t even be justified.”

British Transport Police has launched a murder investigation and detectives have “conducted a number of enquiries to trace those responsible for his killing”.

Detectives believe both suspects left the station after the attack and headed in the direction of Auriol Drive, where they were seen by other members of the public.

No arrests have been made at this stage.

Forensic officers have been scouring the area since the attack and a knife has been recovered.

DCI Sam Blackburn, senior investigating officer, previously called the attack “senseless”.
