Looking for love...

LOVE really is blind for Marcus, the partially sighted Border Collie Cross at Dogs Trust West London. The nine-year-old pooch is hoping to find a soulmate to whisk him off to his forever home this Valentine’s Day. Marcus is a clever chap who is blind in his left eye and only has a small amount of vision in his right, due to a medical condition called retinal degeneration. Despite this, he doesn’t let it hold him back – in his time at our Harefield rehoming centre, he has learnt how to use a ramp to get in and out of the car safely.

This hopeless romantic runs and plays just as much as sighted dogs, especially with scented or jingly toys so he can hear or smell them. Marcus is the apple of the eyes of smitten staff at the Uxbridge based centre, who are hoping that ‘Love is in the

Harefield’ for this lovely lad.

Dogs Trust London Rehoming Centre Manager Richard Moore said:

“Marcus has got a lot of love to give, and despite being partially sighted, he’s got his sights set on a new home. This friendly boy likes it if you’re constantly talking to him so that he can hear where you are – and that you are still there.”

Marcus is looking for a consistent lifestyle where he can easily navigate his surroundings and avoid changes such as moving to a new environment or altering furniture layout, he would need to be the only pet in a home with a garden and children aged over 16.
