Project 1: Create your own Smile Tree

-

To take part in Chipper’s first project, all you’ll need is some multicoloured card and glue or a set of colouring pens and a large piece of paper or lots of pieces of paper stuck together.

■■Step 1: Take a large piece of brown card and carefully cut out a tree and complete with as many branches as you like. Alternatively, draw a tree on the biggest piece of paper you can find.

■■Step 2: Cut out small pieces of card in any colour in the shape of leaves and add leaves to every branch of your tree.

■■Step 3: Write on each leaf the name of your family members, best friends and favourite things to do. Fill every leaf with a person or activity that makes you smile.

■■Step 4: Send us a picture of your tree and display your tree somewhere you can see it and smile every day :)

You’ll need to fill in the form online with your details to sign up for the newsletter and we’ll send you the details for how to submit your project. All completed projects will need to be in by Thursday, April 2.

All your work will appear at https://www.inyourarea.co.uk/news/ tag/chipper-club/ and make sure you let us know the paper you’d like your work to appear in too.

Chipper Club is now on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram so be sure to follow your favourite pup on social media for more lockdown ideas and inspiration too.

And for daily tips and inspiration for parents, make sure you sign up to our LemonAid newsletter too.

Good luck, Chipper fans!
