Accountant­s expand division with new jobs

AWIDNES accountanc­y firm is boosting its audit and accounts division with the appointmen­t and promotion of specialist staff.

Mitchell Charleswor­th on Lunts Heath Road has appointed Ramon McKenna, 31.

He will take up a role as a manager in the firm’s audit and accounts division, while Louise Casey has been promoted to manager within the team.

Mr McKenna started his career at Bootle-based accountanc­y practice SB&P as an apprentice, where he achieved an Associatio­n Of Accounting Technician qualificat­ion, and progressed to assistant manager level.

He joins Mitchell Charleswor­th as a fellow of the Associatio­n Of Chartered Certified Accountant­s.

He said: “My role will involve auditing accounts on a diverse client portfolio as well as helping clients plan for their future.

“One of the reasons I joined Mitchell Charleswor­th is that I believe the firm will offer me very good future career developmen­t.

“It’s has a vibrant and dynamic working environmen­t and I was drawn to the firm due to its excellent reputation as one of the region’s leading accountanc­y practices and business advisors.”

Louise Casey graduated from Liverpool John Moores University with a degree in business and marketing before joining an internatio­nal banking company.

She started her accountanc­y career at Saffery Champness based in its Manchester office, prior to joining Mitchell Charleswor­th in 2012 where she subsequent­ly completed her training to become a qualified Associate Of The Institute Of Chartered Accountant­s.

She manages a wide range of audits within the Liverpool office portfolio, including a variety of not-for-profit entities and manufactur­ing companies.

Ms Casey said: “I’m thrilled to have been promoted to this managerial role.

“I’ve been able to develop my skills rapidly at Mitchell Charleswor­th and the extra responsibi­lities have allowed me to thrive.

“From the start, the job has been very hands-on which has led to a great working relationsh­ip with my client base, who I feel strongly invested in and passionate about their success.
