Awards ceremony for NHS partners

-

BUSINESSES in Halton which help supply the NHS are being encouraged to apply for an awards ceremony to have their work recognised.

The North West Excellence In Supply Awards recognises the work of businesses and third sector bodies which help the NHS to deliver patient care.

The deadline for nominations has been extended to Friday, July 15, and event organisers say it is an opportunity for firms in the borough to showcase their work in the NHS and to build relationships with health providers.

Dr Liz Mear is chair of event organisers NHS North West Procurement Development.

She said: “This awards event is a fantastic opportunity to throw the spotlight on the businesses and other non NHS organisations who often work behind the scenes and unknown to the patients, service users and families receiving health care.

“Anyone with a great product or service who is passionate about the work they do in the NHS, must apply!

“This is the chance to build relationships with NHS trusts and be recognised and valued as an important partner.”

The awards will be presented at a glittering event at the Village Hotel in Blackpool on Thursday, October 20.

Mick Guymer, director of NHS North West Procurement Development, said: “The awards have grown year on year and are now supported and recognised by senior NHS stakeholders as the preeminent accolade for suppliers’ achievements.”
