Heroin dealer jailed

A RUNCORN drug dealer has been caged for more than three years.

Jordan Doran, 25, of no fixed abode, was sentenced at Chester Crown Court for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

A Cheshire police spokeswoma­n said that Doran had pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing and has now been sentenced to three years and four months behind bars.

The spokeswoma­n said Doran was arrested on Tuesday, July 19, after being stopped by officers who were patrolling Halton Lodge Avenue.

She said he was found to be concealing a ‘quantity’ of heroin and cocaineand he was subsequent­ly charged and remanded in police custody.

After the sentencing, Chief Inspector Sarah Heath said: “Drug dealing is unacceptab­le and will not be tolerated in Runcorn.

“I hope that this case sends a strong and clear message to anyone who is determined to profit from drug dealing, that crime does not pay.

“We are committed to targeting those whose activities bring misery to our communitie­s.

“Our commitment to cracking down on illegal drugs in the community will continue, but we need the public’s help.
