All smiles at St Chad’s
ARUNCORN school is ‘delighted’ after its GCSE results increased by 10% compared to last year. St Chad’s Catholic And Church Of England High School spokesman said that the ‘majority’ of pupils achieved A*-C grades in English and mathematics.
The school has also made improvements in progress and attainment in almost all subjects, bucking the national trend of decline in results this year.
The school spokesman added that the A*-C grades posted in English and mathematics are a ‘great achievement for the whole school community’, with pupils, Official Fuel Consumption in MPG (l/100km) and CO2 emissions ( g/ km) for the parents and staff working together to achieve the results.
Top performing pupils include Mason Inman with five A*s and five As, Hera W Westwood achieved four A*s, five As and a B, Hannah Lloyd was awarded three A* grades, six As, and a B, while Alix Ryan posted two A* grades, seven As, and a B.
Other high performing students include Emma Hogg with two A*s, six As, and two Bs, Ellie Southern achieved two A* grades, six As, and two Bs, Amber Johnston’s results comprised three A* grades, four As, and three Bs, while Vithusan Naganathan was awarded three A* grades, four As, and three Bs.
A St Chad’s spokesman said: “After continuing to improve A-level results, record numbers of pupils are signing on to stay at St Chad’s Sixth Form, making the sixth form this year the biggest the school has ever had.” 108 Range are: Urban 52.3 – 56.5 (5.4 – 5.0), Extra Urban 74.3 –78.5 (3.8 – 3.6), Combined 65.7– 68.9 (4.3 – 4.1) and CO2 99 – 95 (g/ km).
