AMUSIC student at a Widnes college wowed judges from The X Factor as part of a girl group for the second year in a row.

Britani Humphries from Cronton Sixth Form College made it through to the Six Chair Challenge stage on the ITV music show.

Britani, part of the group Girl Next Door, initially made it through the first audition after an impressive cover perfor- mance of Usher’s hit song Yeah.

Judges Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh, and Nicole Scherzinger had great things to say about the girls.

More than 70 acts made it through to the Bootcamp stage and the girls continued their impressive form, making it through to the scary Six Chair Challenge.

It is the second year in a row that Girl Next Door have featured on The X Factor. Last year they made it through to the final 90 acts at Bootcamp.

They received some fantastic feedback about their performances, but did not make it through to the next stage.

A Cronton spokesman said: “One year on, and after signing a five-year contract with former Take That manager Nigel Martin-Smith, the girls are looking to make a big impression.

“Britani, from Widnes, has been a talented musician from an early age.

“She regularly sung at school and in local competitions, along with writing her own songs.

“We wish Britani and the rest of the girls the best of luck for the Six Chair Challenge.”
