THE funeral of Thomas Gerald (Ged) Smith of Abbey Road, Widnes has taken place, his death having occurred at home on the August 21, 2016. He was 74.

A service at Widnes Crematoriu­m was held on August 30 and was officiated by Keith Austin.

He is survived by his wife, Jean.

He also leaves behind sons Michael and Mark, daughter Jayne and their partners, Janet, Nikki and Dave.

He also leaves behind grandchild­ren Kerry, Aimee, Jack and Louise and great-grandson, Isaac.

Ged enjoyed his holidays, Rugby League and TV comedies and being surrounded by his loving family.

Thanks also to the many neighbours and friends who sent cards and for the donations, which were forwarded to Parkinsons UK. (Margo) of Grangeway, Runcorn, has taken place, her death having occurred at home on August 29, surrounded by her loving family.

Margaret was aged 69 and was a loving wife to Reg, mother to Davina, grandmothe­r to Oliver and Toby and sister to John, Mary, Elizabeth, Hugh, Thomas and Bridget.

A service was held on September 8 at St Edwards RC Church and was officiated by Father Peter Wright, followed by cremation at Walton Lea. The ashes will be scattered in her homeland of County Fermanagh

Mourners are too many to mention.

Bearers: Son-in-law James Morrell, brothers Hugh and Thomas McGauren and nephews Thomas McGauran Jnr, Noel and Mark Doherty all from Ireland.

Family flowers received and a wreath from Brian and Georgina Holt.

Reg and Davina would like to thank all for the numerous cards, attending the funeral and the immense support during Margo’s illness.

Donations very gratefully received and will go to St Vincent De Paul Catholic Church Charity to help local people.
