Latest bridge road closures

ASTMOOR Road in Runcorn is to close for about six months for Mersey Gateway works.

Merseylink bridge consortium said the route will be shut in both directions between Chadwick Road and Davy Road from Sunday, November 6.

Signed diversions will be in place.

It coincides with the reopening of Bridgewater Expressway eastbound, also on the same day and follows the re-opening of the Bridgewater Expressway westbound on Sunday, October 23.

A weekend lane closure will be in place on Weston Point Expressway northbound between M56 junction 12 and Rocksavage junction from 7.30pm on Friday, October 28 to 5am on Monday, October 31.

There will be lane closures at the same time on Queensway southbound in Widnes towards the Silver Jubilee Bridge and northbound towards Widnes between the slip road from Weston Point Expressway in Runcorn and Watkinson Way in Widnes.

The bus stops at Runcorn Shopping Centre North will be out of use throughout November.

All services will operate as normal but passengers must use the temporary bus stops under the north side in Second Avenue, down the steps next to Halton Lea Library.

Temporary traffic lights will be in place in Beechwood Avenue under Wes- ton Link from Monday, October 31, until Tuesday, November 1.

Also in Runcorn, the Southern Expressway northbound and Weston Link westbound between Hallwood interchange and Rocksavage viaduct will be shut from 9pm on Friday, November 4, until 6pm on Saturday, November 5, with a diversion.

Weston Point Expressway northbound towards Widnes between M56 junction 12 and Weston Point junction will close from 10pm on Friday, November 4 until 5am on Monday, November 7.

Bridgewater Expressway eastbound will reopen on Sunday, November 6, allowing traffic to continue along Daresbury Expressway.
