MP urges households to make the switch
A RUNCORN MP is backing an energy industry initiative which aims to save residents money through switching a supplier.
Graham Evans is supporting the Energy Switch Guarantee, which was launched in June.
A spokeswoman for Mr Evans said that more than 79% of households in his Weaver Vale constituency could be missing out on hundreds of pounds of savings that can be made by switching energy provider.
The Energy Switch Guarantee is a set of 10 commitments designed to offer customers more confidence in the switching process.
Signatories of the guarantee will ensure switch is completed in 21 days and gives customers the extra assurance that a switch will be fast and reliable.
Mr Evans said: “I want to see 79% of house- holds in Weaver Vale save hundreds of pounds by switching their gas and electricity supplier this winter.
“People tell me that if you’ve been with the same supplier for years switching can seem like a daunting task.
“The Energy Switch Guarantee promises to make switching simple and smooth for everyone.”
