HOUSE FIRE WITNESS APPEAL

AN investigation is underway after a house blaze in Runcorn.

Firefighters were called to Picton Avenue at 7.49am on Monday, March 13.

Appliances from Runcorn and Penketh attended. The fire was reported to be in the living room of a semi-detached house.

Picton Avenue was closed and nearby properties were evacuated while the blaze was tackled. Crews were at the scene for just under two-and-a-half hours and checked the roof space while there.
