Brave Gracie dies, aged 5
A BRAVE youngster who inspired a recent Runcorn Linnets charity fundraiser has passed away.
Gracie McCall, five, had overcome a rare form of brain cancer only for secondary tumours to be diagnosed on her brain and spine.
A Linnets spokesman said she passed away on Thursday, March 16.
The Runcorn club and 1874 Northwich had set rivalries aside at their game on March 11 to raise £725 for charity in Gracie’s honour.
The spokesman said: “All at Runcorn Linnets FC are deeply saddened by Gracie’s passing and on behalf of fans, join 1874 officials and supporters in sending sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to Gracie’s family.” ●
