Focus on future careers

-

● STUDENTS at a Widnes college signed up to various talks and workshops all designed to help them focus on their future career paths.

Those studying health and social care and early years at Cronton Sixth Form College took part in a week long Futures event.

The week was a chance to research options for university for some students.

Others were able to question professionals about their successful careers and find out valuable advice to help them with job applications and career plans.

The annual event welcomed guest speakers and activities including nurses, police officers, charity workers, primary school head teachers and a behaviour analyst all took place.

Previous Cronton students were also invited back to college to talk about their experiences at university.

A college spokesman said: “The week was created to showcase the broad spectrum of careers students can progress on to after completing their course at college and has given all students a great insight and lots of inspiration to reach their goals and dream careers.”
