Hornets strike back in style after interval to stop the charging Rhinos
HFH U9 Blacks 10 Cadishead Rhinos 8 HALTON Farnworth Hornets U9s Blacks put in a resounding performance to mantain their unbeaten start to the season.
Cadishead Rhinos brought a strong and powerful team that initially overwhelmed the Hornets’ defence, finding themselves down by a try at half-time.
However, the Hornets reappeared after the interval with a brilliant fighting spirit and rallied together.
A series of turnovers by the Rhinos due to the excellent defensive work from the Hornets combined with a flurry of brilliant tries got the Halton outfit a lead which they then added to and held until the end for a well-earned victory.
Man-of-the-match honours went to Adam Cook.
The parents’ player-of-thegame was awarded to Tom Kneale while Eleanor Stanley was the recipient of the coaches’ award.

Man-of-the-match Zak Bennett got on the scoresheet with the first of his two tries followed by a great offload from George Attwood that allowed Jacob Fitzsimon to score out wide.
Coaches’ award winner went to Harvey Wycherley after another solid performance whilst Tyler Hollins collected the top tackler title for some outstanding challenges during the encounter.
