More closures on the roads
ROUTES across Runcorn and Widnes continue to be affected by roadworks for the Mersey Gateway with diversions organised across the borough.
A weekend closure will be in place on the south side of Brook Place Interchange between Warrington Road and Halton Road in Runcorn.
The road will be shut from 8pm on Friday, April 21, to 5am on Monday, April 24.
Four way temporary traffic signals will control single lane traffic.
In Widnes, Victoria Road and Waterloo Road will close over the same weekend.
The roads will close from 7.30pm on Friday, April 21, and open at 5am on Monday, April 24.
Two way temporary traffic lights will be in operation during the closure and a diversion will be in place.
The following weekend in Runcorn, Clifton Road and Beechwood Avenue will be closed overnight between Rocksavage Way and Betchworth Crescent.
The closure will be in place from 9.30pm to 6am from Saturday, April 22, to Monday, April 25.
The A557 Watkinson Way between Wandsworth Way and Ashley Way will shut in both directions from 7.30pm on Sunday, April 23.
As reported last week, Watkinson Way in both directions linking the Silver Jubilee Bridge and Widnes Eastern Bypass will shut ● permanently.
A diversion will be in place via the new Widnes Loops junction.
On Hutchinson Street in Widnes, temporary two-way off-peak traffic lights between Wandsworth Way and Cromwell Street will end from 3.30pm today, Thursday, April 20.
