● A WIDNES performing arts school have carried their 2016 success into 2017 with upcoming performance in London.
Last year Willacy’s compete at the Liverpool Echo Arena and came home with an award for their tiny dance section.
After this, a company saw footage of their performing and asked them to join them to perform at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London’s glittering West End later this year on June 25.
For Christmas, the school did a production of Sleeping Beauty and were very lucky to have the chance to perform with Beau Dermott from Widnes who made it through to the Britain’s Got Talent finals.
During this time, they have also competed against big name schools from the North West in a singing dance and drama festival. They scooped first place for singing, joint second for solo singing, first and second places for drama and first, second and thirds for dancing.
Ballet and tap exams have all been passed with merits and distinctions.
One of their biggest achievements is also being invited to perform in the New York Town Hall in Broadway in October 2018.
Danielle Willacy said: “Just want to say all this shows all your hard work is paying off, all those years of training some of you from the age of three.
“Keep going and I am very proud of every one of you.”
