‘TOP LADS AND LASSES’

-

THE Sgt Thomas Mottershead statue appeal would like to thank everyone who donated at the Vikings v St Helens game on Friday, April 21.

We would also like to thank Widnes Vikings for their continued support for the appeal.

But a special thank you to our official collectors for the appeal, the 310 Squadron (Widnes) Air Cadets.

They raised £410 for the appeal. The cadets have raised in excess of £2,000 for the appeal at various venues.

Without the Cadets the appeal would be struggling for funds.

They are a credit to the Air Cadets and more importantly, their parents.

Everyone is quick to blame the younger generation for anything and everything that is ill in society.

These young people prove everyone wrong. They are top lads and lasses. When the statue of Sgt Thomas Mottershead VC DCM is unveiled on April 1, 2018, the Air Cadets will lead the ceremonial parade and will form a guard of honour by the statue as it is unveiled.

If anyone would like to donate to the appeal you can donate through our web site www.mottersheadstatueappeal.co.uk, PayPal, https://www. justgiving.com/crowdfunding/tonymiller

http://goget.fund/2asYksK or by sending a cheque (NOT CASH) made out to the Sgt Thomas Mottershead statue appeal.

And send it to Tony Miller, 27 Godstow, Sandymoor, Runcorn, WA7 1UE
