Residents enjoy a great time at the big match

RESIDENTS from three Halton care homes enjoyed a VIP experience with Widnes Vikings, thanks to the generosity of Delivered Health Solutions.

Fifteen residents, family members and staff from Simonsfield Care Home, Halton View Care Home and Ferndale Mews Care Home were invited to the Vikings game against Hull on Sunday by the company, who were Executive Match Sponsors of the game.

They enjoyed a special post-match meet and greet with Vikings stars and exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the big game.

Delivered Health Solutions are one of Britain’s leading suppliers of infection control and prevention services.

The Widnes-based company provides specialist cleaning services to the social care sector, and chose to use its ticket allocation to reward people living in care homes and the staff that support them.

Their guests included many passionate Vikings fans, who have followed the club for a lifetime including Roy Butler who lives at Ferndale Mews Care Home and played for Widnes in the 1950s.
