Jake set to back Elton gig

● Jake Isaac: support for Sir Elton at Widnes A LAUDED singer/ songwriter has been announced as support for pop icon Sir Elton John’s upcoming stadium gig in Widnes.

Jake Isaac will perform at the Select Security Stadium on June 18 before the legendary performer.

Hailing from South London with Caribbean roots, Jake has released his debut album Our Lives and received support all over the world selling out headline shows in the US, Europe and UK, as well as having supported Ella Eyre and Paloma Faith.

His distinctiv­e brand of feisty soul pop, bold anthemic hooks, and instantly recognisab­le vocal have led him to gain plaudits from key press including Wonderland, Notion, The Independen­t and radio.

Fans of Sir Elton will now get the chance to see one of the brightest young stars in British music as he supports him on seven of his upcoming UK shows, including Widnes.

Jake said: “It’s an insane privilege to open up for the iconic Sir Elton John!

“Think I might actually have to play my socks off!”

From being awarded multiple Grammys and BRITs, and even an Oscar and a Tony Award, Sir Elton has proven his universal acclaim.

He has given more than 4,000 performanc­es in excess of 80 countries.

ACABARET show from Thailand will be performing in Runcorn later this year. The Lady Boys Of Bangkok return to the Brindley on Monday, July 10, with a lavish new production entitled Who Runs The World?

The show will be performed by 16 of Thailand’s most alluring and stunning Lady Boys.

They will pay tribute to a host of stars ranging from Beyonce, Rhianna, Nicki Minaj, Fifth Harmony, to Gloria Gaynor, Boy George, Pitbull, Tom Jones, and Queen Latifah.
