Annabelle shines in U11s’ win

HFH U11 Greens 36 Thatto Heath U11 18 A GREAT game by HFH U11s Greens saw them double-up on their counterpar­ts from Thatto Heath 36-18.

There were tries for Oliver Vale (2), Jack Foster, George Whorton, Luke Lamey and Sam Fitzsimon. Goals were landed by Sam Fitzsimon, Luke Lamey, Sam Gallagher (2) and Cameron Billington (2).

Player-of-the-match honours went to Annabelle Attwood for a superb solo try-saving tackle while the top tackler was Charlie Shone.

This was a great team performanc­e from all.

HFH U9 Reds 9 Wigan St Jude’s 11 THIS was nip and tuck all game with St Jude’s just running out winners.

The Reds’ scoring was opened by Jackson Tuihalamak­a followed by top tackler Zak Bennett who managed to get over for a hat-trick.

Try of the game went to Lucas Tuihalamak­a with sheer individual brilliance. Some strong running by Charlie Roberts and Harvey Wycherley got them both over for a try and Jacob Fitzsimon crossed twice.

Coaches’ award winner went to the improving Oliver Hunt. Man-of-the-match was Tyler Hollins after another solid display.

HFH U8 9 B’wood Bulldogs 12 AN excellent display of expansive rugby league with both teams running hard and tackling well.

In attack HFH made some brilliant runs with James Prescott scoring four tries.

Also on the scoresheet were Joe Bebbington, Ellis Lloyd, Kian Rose, Cooper Di Luca and birthday boy and captain for the day, Dylan Stephenson. Along with his impressive try and super tackling display, this earned Dylan the man-of-the-match award.

In defence, although it took time to get going against a strong attacking Burtonwood team, HFH gave some impressive displays of tackling with Cian Winstanley, Aiden Clarke, Matty Brown and the ever-reliable Ollie Jenkins catching the eye.

But it was Kobe McKinnon who stood out getting involved all over the park earning him the top tackler accolade.
