Man wanted on recall to prison

-

A CRIMINAL who was among a trio of thugs who subjected a Runcorn cyclist to a terrifying ordeal in 2014 is wanted on recall to prison after breaching the conditions on his licence.

Anthony ‘Yozzer’ Hughes, 32, was released from prison in February after being caged in March 2015 for kidnap and blackmail after he and two others accosted a cyclist on Sandy Lane in Weston Point on July 31, 2014, and told him to ‘get in the car’ where ● they threatened he’d be ‘lit up’ on a field unless he paid them £5,000.

Merseyside Police said Hughes is white, about 6ft 1in tall, of average build with short brown hair, blue eyes, unshaven and a scouse accent.

He also has tattoos of the words ‘Mum’ and ‘Dad’ and a large praying-hands tattoo on his back.

Hughes has links to Halton Brook in Runcorn as well as Fazakerley and Kirkby in Merseyside.

Anyone who has seen him or has any information is urged to call Merseyside Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. OR CALL
