TOY THIEF IN COURT

A TOY thief from Runcorn who stole more than £200 of goods from Argos has been handed a suspended sentence.

James Paul Lynott, 62, of Broome Court, Brookvale, was given four weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months at North Cheshire Magistrates’ Court on July 14.

Lynott entered guilty pleas to stealing £99.98 of toys from the store on August 11, £100’s worth on August 18 and toys to the value of £60 on August 26. In addition, he admitted stealing meat worth £45 from Morrisons in Frodsham on July 6.

Lynott was ordered to repay Argos and Morrisons plus costs and victim surcharge.
