Crissy flying into Runcorn as panto fairy

LIVERPOOL acting star Crissy Rock known to TV viewers across the nation from her appearance­s in Benidorm and I’m A Celebrity has been announced as Fairy Nuff in Halton’s upcoming Brindley pantomime Sleeping Beauty.

She joins Rebecca Lake playing Princess Aurora and Christophe­r Pym as Prince Harry.

Crissy has deployed her versatilit­y to bring on the laughs on stage in her one woman stand-up show and to stir the emotions in her film roles.

These have included her award-winning performanc­e in director Ken Loach’s Ladybird Ladybird and more recently her role as Janey York in Benidorm from series one to four.

She also appeared at The Brindley in Seriously Dead.

The release of her best-selling autobiogra­phy The Heart Within Me Burns became something of a sensation in 2011, sitting in the top 10 of the Sunday ● Times bestseller list for seven months and shortly being released as a paperback having hit 35,000 sales.

A run of TV appearance­s including three features on This Morning fuelled a surge of interest in Crissy and he life to date.

After she moved to Spain she filmed Tiger Aspect-ITV comedy Benidorm alongside Johnny Vegas, Tim Healey, Steve Pemberton and Sheila Reid.

Crissy’s role as Janey York ran for four hit series and upon leaving the show in 2011, Crissy decided to stay in Benidorm after establishi­ng herself as the Island’s top female stand-up comedienne, playing 10 shows a week to packed houses.

Most recent appearance­s include the role of the Wicked Queen in Snow White at Liverpool’s Epstein Theatre as well as a lead role in the comedy show Dirty Dusting at Bedworth Civic Hall in 2014.

She has also appeared on chat and game shows Come Dine With Me, Loose Women and The Chase and a seventh series of Benidorm as the Solona manager.

Crissy said: “I am looking forward to working with a great cast in the great venue and so close to home.

“There is always something so special about panto and I am already excited!”

“Book early and get the best seats in the house for our annual festive Pantomime, full of spectacula­r scenery, dazzling costumes, hilarious jokes, singlalong songs and fun for all the family!”

Ticket prices are children £16, adults £22, family ticket £66 for two adults and two children, groups 20 plus £17, schools £11 for one teacher in 15 goes free with no booking fee.
