Fears after driver pulls up next to boy

-

POLICE have moved to reassure parents after reports of a man in a van pulling up next to a 13-year-old boy.

Cheshire Constabulary said an incident regarding ‘suspicious activity’ is alleged to have taken place at 7.20pm on Wednesday, October 5, on Walsingham Drive in Sandymoor. The boy ran off and told an adult. The report comes a couple of weeks on from rumours regarding a van stopping and a man telling a boy to board the vehicle, which was alleged to have been carrying a man in a Guy Fawkes mask.

Chief Inspector Sarah Heath said: “I would like to reassure parents that there was no attempt to grab or speak with the boy, and we have had no further reports of suspicious activity.”
