Players battle to book their places in next round of Jack Adams Cup

ON Friday evening in the Widnes & District Darts League, the Jack Adams Cup was played

At the Mill Brow SC, Paul Linger, despite being a leg down, came from behind to take the opening game, whilst John Leather had an easy route to the next round as Luke Carey failed to show.

In the card final, again Paul Linger came from a game down to win.

At the Birchfield, Tex Bowles went through to the card final in two straight legs.

In his first game, his opponent Mike Howard had reached the card final with a walkover as Anton Freeman failed to show – and he went on to take the card final 2-1.

At the Corpy Club, in the opening game Lol Fonterigo went through unopposed as Daz Attwood failed to show.

Meanwhile, Karl Whitfield won in two straight legs to reach the card final.

In the card final, Karl Whitfield beat his fellow teammate in two straight legs, to go through to the next round.

At the Cricketers Arms, Dave Sutton and Jeff Thompson reached the card final with two straight leg wins. In the card final the scoreline was the same as Jeff Thompson booked his place in the next round draw.

At the Goldmine, Tommy Robertson reached the card final as Rob Gatcliffe was a no-show. Sean Bell earned his place with victory in two straight legs.

In the card final, Tommy Robertson eventually emerged the winner as he was victorious in a deciding third leg to go through to the next round draw.

At Halton Stadium, Alan Moran reached the next round draw as his opponents, John Leacy and Russ Hardman, both failed to show.

At Hough Green SC, Brian Dwyer also booked his place in the next round draw as his opponents Joe Price and Rob Morris both failed to show.

At the Main Top, the fixture was postponed due to access to the venue.
