Cube hits the market after overseas move
A● WAREHOUSE in Preston Brook near Runcorn has come to the market.
The Cube is a purpose built, 151,000sq ft high bay distribution facility.
The warehouse, which was constructed in the late 90s, is arranged across two interconnecting separate bays the highest of which incorporates 28m eaves on a site which provides 360 degree circulation and 50m deep yards.
Cushman & Wakefield has been appointed as sole agents by the vendors Parker Hanafin, which previously occupied the site but is now moving its manufacturing operations overseas.
Sam Royle is a senior surveyor in Cushman & Wakefield’s logistics and industrial team.
He said: “This is a rare opportunity to secure a high specification facility in a strategic location.
“One of the key selling points of the building is the eaves height in the high bay section which are up to 28m and we believe to be the loftiest distribution facility available in the North of England at present.
“The previous occupier, Wincanton Logistics, utilised this section of the building to its maximum cubic capacity with over 32,000 pallet positions.
“Since acquiring the premises from Wincanton Plc in 2013 our client has invested over £3m into the building and it now provides fully refurbished high quality offices, an increased number of loading bays and a super flat floor in the high bay warehouse amongst other improvements.
“We are already witnessing strong demand from the distribution and logistics sector and there is also appetite from the investor market which has responded well to the initial marketing campaign.”
The Cube is located within one mile of junction 11 of the M56 motorway between Runcorn and Warrington.
