Firefighters called to two bin blazes on same street
● FIREFIGHTERS dealt with bin blazes on a Widnes street just over an hour apart.
Cheshire Fire And Rescue Service (CFRS) was called to Bechers in Hough Green at 7.20pm on Wednesday, November 1.
One bin was alight when the crew arrived and a hose reel jet was used to put it out. But firefighters were called to the same street just over an hour later at 8.24pm after two wheelie bins were torched.
A CFRS spokesman said: “The bins were well alight on arrival and crews used a fire extinguisher to put out the fire.
“The fire was started deliberately and anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
