A Larknado of laughs to sweep into The Studio

-

HEARD the one about three North West comedians set to take Widnes by storm?

Comedians Neil Shawcross, Ben Turner and Dan Barnes are bringing their Larknado show to The Studio on Friday, November 17.

The hour-long free show explores a shared midlife crisis through stand up, sketches and chaos.

Show promoters have urged punters to head along to experience Neil’s crafty wit and tales of life with a surreal twist.

He has performed on line-ups with some of the top names and was named Laughter Factory’s MC of the year 2016.

Glee Comedy Club lauded Comedy Cellar Yorkshire New Act Of The Year finalist Ben Turner as ‘very club-centric material/feel with some nice dirtier jokes along the way. All the stuff is there.’

And Dan Barnes, XS Manchester comedian of the year finalist, has garnered the praise of comedian and promoter John Porter who called him a ‘funny likeable presence that belongs on any bill’.

Looking forward to the show, Neil said: “We all have different styles and material but what unites us is a realisation that we are no longer welcome in Top Man.

“It’s a fun show mixing stand-up with some character acts and audience participation.

“We debuted the show at the Hastings Fringe this year and the crowds went home happy and it meant we didn’t have to pay for counselling.

“It’s great to be bringing Larknado to The Studio a venue we have all loved performing at individually and one that Widnes can be rightly proud off.”

Doors open at 7pm for an 8pm start. For more details visit www. facebook.com/larknado ● ● ●
