VEHICLE FIRE SUSPECTED ARSON

A CAR was found on fire in a car park in Runcorn. The incident is being treated as ‘suspicious’. Firefighters were called to the blaze in the middle of a car park on Wellington Street at 5.50am on Wednesday, March 7.

One appliance from Runcorn attended and the crew used a hose jet to extinguish the flames.

A Cheshire Constabulary spokesman said: “The cause of the car fire is currently being treated as suspicious and anyone with any information in relation to the incident is asked to contact Cheshire police on 101 quoting incident number 3573.

“Information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
