ADOUBLE helping of family fun is being served up at Norton Priory in Runcorn this April as families are invited to help find a big bunny and a huge hen.

Norton Priory Museum And Gardens has two funfilled family events on for Easter and the school holidays.

The bunny hunt takes place on Bank Holiday Monday-Tuesday, April 2-3, as visitors are invited to seek out the rascally rabbit who wants to eat all the gardener’s prize-winning vegetables.

Those taking part can track down the carrotmunching fiend before he chomps the lot.

Norton Priory said the event offers fun for all the family with craft activities, trails and an outdoor story hunt to find the giant bunny.

A week later on MondayTuesday, April 9-10, families can hunt a huge hen in the Chick-Chick Chicken adventure, in which a naughty fox appears to have scared away the priory’s chicken.

Participants will piece together a plan to find the fabulous fowl and make her happy again, in a ‘cracking day out for families with craft activities, trails and story hunt’.

Both events are on at the museum from 10am to 4pm, with drop-in activities and no need to book.

Normal admissions apply, and community pass holders are asked to pay £1 per participating child.

Susan Brownrigg, learning and volunteer officer, said: “We warmly invite all families to come and take part in our unforgettable events this Easter.

“Can you can catch the Easter Bunny before he stuffs his face with our gardener’s carrots?”

Norton Priory museum is open 10am-5pm daily from April to October.

Visitors using satnavs to get there should input the street address of Tudor Road or WA7 1BD for the postcode.
