Jo takes on desert ordeal in memory of Maisy

-

“I am raising funds for Papyrus – Prevention Of Young Suicide.

“I have chosen Papyrus in memory of the much loved and beautiful Maisy Lewis from Sandymoor.

“Maisy was a star pupil at school and had her whole life ahead of her. Her family are absolutely devastated.

“If you have youngsters, please remind them that there are places to get help and people to talk to if they find themselves in a dark place.”

Papyrus expressed its thanks in a statement, which said.

It said: “On behalf of everyone here, thank you so much for getting involved and supporting the work we do.

“Our supporters and fundraisers provide a huge part of our income, which helps us reach more people across the UK, and support more young people at risk of suicide.

“We rely heavily on donations, and having support from ● The Sahara desert track for the Marathon des Sables fundraisers like yourself will really help to make a difference in helping us to continue to deliver and improve on our existing services.”

To donate, visit the JustGiving website and search for ‘In memory of Maisy Lewis’.

An inquest has yet to take place to investigate the circumstances of Maisy’s death and establish the cause.

Cheshire police have previously said it was not believed to have been suspicious.
